Yesterday with a heat index of 105 it was quite hot. The thing is, not only is Cincinnati hot but the humidity is unreal. I took my dogs out for a walk at 9 am and it was already stifling making it difficult to breathe. What's crazy is that regardless of how how it was yesterday I had no idea how vastly different a pregnant women's core temperature is. Everyone kept warning me and I just blew it off. I have always been a painfully cold person...especially after I lost all the weight. Last summer I was in jeans a lot of the time because the air conditioning in an business was bitterly cold for me. So I really thought I would welcome the warm up. Boy was I wrong. In many cases I am just over at a friend's house (who will have the air conditioning on) and I dream of when I can climb into my car with the air full blast. I'm profusely sweating even in the air conditioning unless it's set around 67 degrees! Our bill has been through the roof this summer. But, without keeping it cold, I start to get extremely nauseous and dizzy from being so hot. I am literally freezing my husband, friends, and family out of our home. LOL, they usually ask for a blanket, sweat pants and a sweat shirt, or if you're like my Mom you keep going outside to "thaw" out. I cannot WAIT to be a "normal" temperature again. I'm getting kind of nervous for school to start because the building doesn't have air conditioning. We'll see how long I last until the baby is delivered!
