Are you wondering how many fruits and vegetables are good to eat throughout the day? I choose to eat two fruits a day. In case you haven't noticed, a banana in the morning is a staple for me because it is fast and I really like banana's. I try not to eat dried fruit because it is high in sugar. Although, I LOVE raisins so I do indulge myself on those once or twice a week. You really shouldn't deprive yourself of everything you love otherwise no diet will last long-term. Little things you enjoy in small doses should help you maintain and or lose the weight.
Luckily I really like vegetables. If you do not enjoy them, following how I eat could be a challenge for you. I eat as much as I want of all veggies except for corn and peas which are considered "starchy." So, that means, if you're extra hungry one day you can double up carrots, cucumbers, zuchini, tomatoes, etc. JUST DON'T EAT THEM DIPPED IN HIGH FAT RANCH! Remember, I have one "extra" fat per day and I usually have light ranch on my salad, or margarine on my broccoli. Vegetables throughout the day are ok, but light ranch is not; fat-free is a better choice if you have to have a dipping sauce.
Questions people usually ask me are: Aren't you still hungry? How did you feel when you first changed your eating habits? Until tomorrow's blog...
