I had a GREAT trip with our friends! I did miss our son terribly but it was nice to get away from the responsibility and just be with my husband. I think we needed that time to reconnect. Friday we had a rough start because we were both so tired and immersed ourselves in our friends. But, Saturday we took some time for us. We went hiking (which was breathtaking and relaxing) for over an hour. We napped together, window-shopped together, and played a few games together. I know it sounds gushy but I have to be one of the luckiest girls in the world. I have a wonderful husband, beautiful son, and amazing group of friends. I am very blessed and couldn't be happier. It really opened my eyes to what matters and it's certainly not money, a number on a scale, or how big my house is.
I did not beat myself up about my weight this weekend. I enjoyed some beverages, ate out, snacked on Fiber One and Pretzels when we were up late and overall tried to be a healthy eater. I stuck to my diet when I could. I need to start giving myself a break. I'm really proud of how hard I tried and as of now (I'm sure it will change between now and my weigh in on Thursday) but I'm down 2.4 pounds since Friday!
