Are your front teeth lined up with with the middle of your face?

Should you care? In dentistry, this is called your dental midline. If you drew a line down the middle of your face, would it go right between your two front teeth? This is an ideal location for your front teeth when a smile is restored. Studies have shown that a midline can be off 2mm and no one would notice. Even if someone has a midline off a little more, very few people would notice, provided that the front teeth are perfectly straight and this midline is perpendicular to the ground. However, if it is canted, many people will take notice. Have you ever noticed what your smile looks like to others? There are many ways to make an imperfect smile look normal.
